Privacy Policy

RhythMaster Productions Inc., Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, operates live.tarotandastrology.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit the site, create an account, use a reader or studio service, buy credits or other services, or contact us. Information we collect

Customer registration collects a username, password, email address, and gender. Reader registration also collects a screen name, date of birth, and profile information or images the reader submits. If you choose Google sign-in, Google may share profile information within the permissions shown in that sign-in flow. We also handle bookings, session and transaction details, chat messages and logs, support requests, complaints, refund and dispute records, and information you choose to share for a reading, such as birth details for astrology. Our site and service providers may receive IP addresses, device and browser information, access times, cookies, and security or diagnostic information. Please avoid sharing another person's private information unless you have permission.

CCBill and any other payment provider shown at checkout process payment details under their own privacy terms. We receive information needed to credit purchases, manage billing, and handle refunds and disputes. Do not send us a full payment-card number or password by email.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and protect accounts, verify age and reader eligibility, display reader profiles, provide sessions and appointments, process payments and refunds, answer support requests, maintain site security, investigate abuse or disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We may use site-usage information to maintain and improve the service. If we want to use information for a new purpose that requires consent, we will explain that purpose and seek consent first.

Sessions, recording, and Ask Sophia

Live audio and video are transmitted to deliver sessions. The site retains chat-log records that authorized managers can review. Session recording is off by default. When a reader is authorized to use recording or image tools, video recordings or still pictures may be saved. The reader must clearly tell you what will be captured and obtain your express agreement before recording or taking pictures. If recording or picture-taking is proposed without a clear notice and choice, do not continue the session; contact our Privacy Officer. You may decline and ask about another way to receive the service. We do not promise that a recording will be deleted after a particular number of days; contact us if you want to know whether a recording exists or to request deletion.

Ask Sophia is an optional help feature. When you submit a question to it, the question is sent for processing so the feature can respond. Do not include sensitive information you do not want processed for that purpose. We will provide separate notice and seek consent where required before introducing any additional transcription or AI processing of customer-reader sessions.

Who receives information

Readers, studios, managers, and support staff may access information needed for their authorized work. We also use providers for payment processing, hosting, security, sign-in, analytics, and optional help. The site uses or offers CCBill, Google sign-in, Google Tag Manager and Fonts, Cloudflare Turnstile, and Ask Sophia in relevant flows. A provider may receive information needed for its function and apply its own privacy terms. We may disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or safety, to resolve a dispute, or in a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and processing locations

Cookies and similar technologies support sign-in, security, site operation, and measurement. Google Tag Manager and Cloudflare tools may load when you use relevant pages. The WebVideo application server and its backups are located in Canada. Some third-party providers may process information outside Canada, where laws may differ and lawful access by authorities may apply.

Retention and security

We keep information while needed to provide the service, support accounts, resolve complaints or disputes, protect the site, and satisfy legal or business obligations. The site does not yet have a fixed automatic deletion schedule for chat logs or optional recordings. Required financial and tax records generally must be kept for six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate, with exceptions. Under British Columbia privacy law, information used to make a decision directly affecting a person must generally be retained for at least one year after that use. When information is no longer reasonably needed for a lawful purpose, it should be destroyed or de-identified. Contact the Privacy Officer to ask about a specific record or request deletion. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You may ask for access to personal information under our control, ask how it has been used or disclosed, request correction of inaccurate information, ask to withdraw consent where the law permits, or make a privacy complaint. We may verify your identity before responding. Some information must be retained to meet legal or business obligations. Send requests to the Privacy Officer at support@tarotandastrology.com. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia about a privacy concern.

The service is intended for adults at least 18 years old or the age of majority where they live, whichever is higher. We will review information about an ineligible user and handle it as required by law. We may update this policy with a new effective date and provide further notice or seek renewed consent where required.
